AI Meets Storytelling: How I’m Scaling Content and Building Audiences Faster Than Ever

As I continue to build my healthcare-focused media company, one of our major goals is to cultivate a large, engaged audience across all the shows on our network.

To achieve this, we’re leveraging a media-first content strategy, creating an array of media in the form of video podcasts.

Now, producing dedicated podcasts for each segment is rewarding, but let’s be real—it’s time-consuming. And in a fast-moving space like healthcare, we needed to think about how we could produce high-quality content at scale, but faster.

That’s when we landed on an idea that’s both experimental and exciting: 100% AI-narrated podcasts.

The concept was simple: could we use AI to narrate podcasts in a way that’s not only efficient but also engaging enough to keep audiences hooked?

The answer — let’s test it!

Two Shows. Two Concepts. Full AI.

I rolled out two distinct shows, each narrated entirely by AI, to test this theory.

The first show focuses on healthcare marketing, public relations, and advertising stories within U.S. healthcare — a space that’s ripe with untold, impactful stories.

The second show takes a broader approach, sharing monumental, untold stories from the U.S. healthcare system, covering the milestones and events that have shaped the industry.

Within the first week, we produced and published five episodes for each show.

That’s 10 episodes total in just a matter of days. This alone was a game-changer, but what surprised me even more was how quickly one of the shows gained traction.

Hitting the Charts — Faster Than Expected

To my surprise, the first show, which focuses on healthcare marketing, PR, and advertising, broke into the Top 50 on the Apple Podcast charts in Canada within 24 hours of its launch.

The format?

Simple. Each episode runs an average of fewer than seven minutes, providing highly engaging, bite-sized content that can be easily consumed on the go.

These aren’t your typical podcasts either — AI narrators bring the storytelling to life, and the feedback so far shows we might be onto something.

Healthcare is an ever-evolving industry. Whether it’s digital transformation, the latest tech in health, or the stories that don’t always make headlines, there’s always something new to share.

AI narration allows us to scale this storytelling approach at a rapid pace, without compromising on quality. More importantly, it’s efficient — allowing us to release more content, cast a wider net, and build a larger audience, faster.

But this is just the beginning. There’s so much room for experimentation in this space. While we’ve seen some early success with the healthcare marketing-focused show, the broader, untold stories concept is already showing promise.

It’s clear that this kind of AI-driven content has an audience, and now the plan is to keep experimenting with formats, concepts, and topics to see how far we can push it.

What’s Next?

We’ll continue to test different AI formats and concepts, always with the goal of making our shows engaging and informative, while tapping into new audience segments.

The early results have been promising, but we’re just scratching the surface of what AI can do for content creation in media and healthcare.

As we move forward, expect to see more innovation, faster production times, and new ways to tell stories that matter to the healthcare industry.

This is just the start of a long journey to see how far we can go in reshaping media through AI.
