The OpenAI Saga - An Example of Poor Customer Communication

+ Snoop Dogg and Smokeless Fire Pits + Grow, Not Compete

I posted a tweet on X this morning -

“Never in competition because the goal is to be a better me, not a better you.”

I received this response from my friend and connection: Jared Robin -

“Comparison is the thief of joy.”

I responded by saying -

“The only competition is you - the person you look in the mirror - be a better version of you!”

He replied back by saying -

“Ya but you don’t even need to compete vs yourself. Just be”

This really hit me. Like hard. Really hard.

Maybe compete is not the right word.

Growth is really what it is. Your growth.

It is - Grow, not compete.

Just be YOU!

Build a growth mindset. #nocompetition

Looking back a few years from now, you should be unrecognizable to your current self - in a good way - because you have come so far and are a much better version of yourself.

That’s the true measure of your growth!

The OpenAI Saga - An Example of Poor Customer Communication

As OpenAI drama unfolded over the last few days, what really bothered me was the lack of direct customer communication.

I’m a paid user of OpenAI - ChatGPT. I received zero communication from the company directly about anything that has been going.

Isn't it the company's responsibility to inform customers when a situation like OpenAI occurs?

Wouldn't it be better if there was at least an in-product message that said that the company is going through some restructuring, that everything is under control, and that we will continue to provide services as usual?

Is there any reason why the real customer is not informed about this whole drama?

I’m clueless. What about you?

This is why I really find this tweet hilarious -

Interesting Thing That I Read This Week

In every sense, this is a masterstroke. 🔥🔥🔥

In fact, at one point in time, X had - “Snoop giving up smoke” trending.

Absolutely brilliant!
