The New Entrepreneurial Wave: The Creator-Operator Movement

+ A Rant + My Free Tool - LinkedIn Post Generator

Todd Clouser, a top marketer in my opinion, shared a comment he received on LinkedIn that triggered him.

Honestly, it also triggered me!!

Brand Fantasy” - really?

I mean, who needs progress in B2B Marketing, right?

We should keep creating those thrilling gated ebooks that no one reads. It's a literary version of a haunted house, where you open the gate, enter, and immediately regret your choices.

Let's not forget those monthly product-focused webinars!

Who cares about customer needs and interests? We have quotas to meet! Relevance and engagement can't get in the way of that shiny product pitch.

After all, our customers were probably bored of us addressing their actual problems anyway.

I agree, why should we even entertain the notion of brand fantasy?

Who needs a compelling, inspiring, and forward-thinking vision when we can just keep plodding along in our B2B reality, right?

I mean, who wants to stand out from the crowd and be memorable?

It's best to keep it dull and repetitive!

Ok, that’s it. Rant over. Let’s get back to business.

The Creator-Operator Movement

A truly exciting battle is unfolding in the world of business right now.

I'm referring to a showdown between creators and established businesses. It's a spectacle not to be missed!

What's at stake, you ask?

Oh, just a few tens of billions in revenue and equity value.

The battleground?

It is the hallowed arena of the Attention Economy.

It's not just a passing fad; it's here to stay.

It's crucial that we grasp the importance of capturing audiences and cultivating trust because, believe me, the future of business depends on it.

Attention is the golden ticket. It's the passport to customer acquisition, the cornerstone of culture, and the bedrock of brand affinity and trust.

Businesses have long recognized this, but now creator-operators are leading the charge.

Today, big businesses buy access to the passionate fans that creators have amassed. Thank you good ol’ influencer marketing.

Creators do get their piece of the pie, but, more often than not, they're left with just pennies on the dollar. The lion's share of revenue and equity value remains snugly in the hands of the big brands.

Is this fair? Let's step back and ask ourselves that question. Is it smart?

Watch out for ambitious creators out there. They don't just rely on ads, information products, or merchandise sales to make money. They're leaping far beyond that. They aim to build long-lasting, real businesses.

Creator-operators are about to launch a wave of incredible products and services that will revolutionize industries. They're shaking up the status quo, turning the tables, and grabbing their fair share of the pie. The combination of entrepreneurial spirit and creative genius is making waves in the business world today.

What's the bottom line? Think long-term if you're a creator. As a business, recognize the power of collaboration and equitable partnerships with creators.

This is a pivotal moment in the history of business, and those who understand the shift and embrace it are going to be the real winners in the end.

New frontiers are being forged between creators and established businesses, and the possibilities are endless. We're in for a wild ride! 🚀💡🌟
